In this session of my Blog, "Drawing Stories...With Words" I share the first of several documentary style videos detailing and revealing insight into how I created my debut literary novel: Proud Souls. On March 14th and 15th I took a trip to Seymour, Texas, back where it all began. Watch the first video segment where I discuss the process and anticipation for returning to the sight that inspired the story--Justin's story--and even stop to shoot some video footage of the original cabin! Okay, you have done ALL you can with the means and abilities (and financial resources) available to help promote your work and it seems as though you are making no further progress. What should you do? You know you have to spend money to make money, its the official unwritten law of the business world and you are also aware that you have told everyone you know about your book and quite frankly, you can't make anyone buy the book. You can only hope they will invest a few dollars and some sleepless nights on your work: But you still have to ask yourself. What more can I do to help get the word out? This week I offer a simple and low-cost solution for providing effective marketing and promotion for your latest masterpiece. Sometimes, when you have done all you can...you just have to get back to basics and start over. Click here to read the full article on CultureFeast.com: "Networking 101: Getting Back To Basics"

|
I am pleased to announce a new feature for my weekly Blog, the "PS: We Wanna Know" segment where I will answer YOUR questions and inquiries related to how I came to create my debut literary novel. In this segment of my audio blog I answer the question of my new friend, Tommy Duncan of Seymour, Texas. Tommy is the moderator of the Seymour Police Department MySpace site and he asked the following question: "How in the world did you come to write a novel that takes place in Seymour (TX)?" Click here to listen to this session where I answer Tommy's question: Thanks for the question Tommy!!! I truly appreciate your support and I can't wait to meet you next week when I arrive in Seymour!!! |
